Project Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead project teams, providing direction, scheduling, and budget assessments to meet deliverable milestones effectively.
• Manage small teams of architects, designers, and draftspeople, ensuring seamless collaboration and productivity.
• Develop project designs and drawings for presentations, contributing to conceptual development phases.
• Prepare NJDOE project applications, amendments, and long-range facility plan updates for educational projects.
• Survey job sites, document existing conditions, and create detailed field memos for project planning.
• Generate project reports, cost estimates, feasibility studies, and other essential documents for various project phases.
• Coordinate with design team members, senior management, and external consultants throughout design and construction processes.
• Attend meetings, including pre-design, plan review, and pre-construction, to ensure project alignment and progress.
• Oversee construction administration processes, collaborating with in-house teams and external stakeholders.

Project Manager Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or equivalent educational background is required.
• Licensed Architect or aspiring to be licensed, with 7-10 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT, with a preference for REVIT expertise.
• Experience in K-12, higher education, and municipal projects is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel for project documentation and communication.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record for site visits and client meetings.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
