Benefits Administrator (Temporary) Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Process and reconcile monthly invoices from various benefits carriers, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Administer benefits elections and updates in Workday, maintaining accurate employee records.
- Prepare and submit payroll deduction files for reimbursement accounts such as HSA and FSA.
- Manage leave of absence requests, tracking deadlines and pay eligibility in compliance with regulations.
- Issue COBRA eligibility letters and coordinate coverage transitions with carriers.
- Assist in open enrollment activities, including employee communications and system testing.
- Support updates to benefits guides and intranet content to ensure accurate information dissemination.
- Maintain organized documentation for all benefits-related processes and compliance requirements.
Benefits Administrator (Temporary) Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree required, preferably in a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in benefits administration; 10 years preferred.
- Proficiency in benefits systems, with Workday experience considered a strong asset.
- Prior experience in a law firm environment is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills to manage complex benefits processes.
- Ability to handle sensitive employee information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with vendors and internal teams effectively.
- Availability to work on-site three days a week, with flexibility during peak periods.
