Job Description

Bioanalytical Scientist Overview

  • The Bioanalytical Scientist role focuses on supporting drug discovery and development through advanced LC-MS/MS techniques.
  • Collaborate with a team to provide bioanalytical support for non-GLP drug analysis studies.
  • Conduct technical activities independently, applying principles and theories of LC-MS/MS.
  • Contribute to project development assignments, including data processing, documentation, and report writing.
  • Train and mentor junior technical staff, ensuring high-quality output.
  • Maintain communication with collaborators and partners, preparing detailed reports.
  • Stay updated with current methodologies and conduct literature searches for experimental design.
  • Work on-site in a dynamic environment, contributing to impactful drug development projects.

Bioanalytical Scientist Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct assigned technical tasks within time and budget constraints.
  • Manage projects with minimal supervision, involving multiple organizational units.
  • Perform wet lab sample preparation, clean-up, and LC-MS/MS analysis.
  • Document procedures, process data, generate results, and write comprehensive reports.
  • Train less experienced staff in research methodologies and techniques.
  • Apply project-specific method development ensuring adherence to experimental plans.
  • Maintain compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations.

Bioanalytical Scientist Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Analytical Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, with 7 years preferred, in bioanalytical techniques.
  • Proficiency in LC-MS/MS and wet lab sample preparation methods.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration.
