Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Provide outpatient primary care services to a diverse patient population.
• Perform patient assessments, physical examinations, and obtain medical histories.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Prescribe medications and educate patients on their proper use.
• Provide preventive care and health maintenance services.
• Educate patients on nutrition, family planning, and preventive medicine.

Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Job Requirements

• Active and unrestricted New York State NP or PA license is required.
• Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is mandatory.
• Minimum of two years of experience in Family Medicine or Primary Care.
• Experience treating patients across all age groups, from infants to adults.
• Comfortable floating between clinic locations in Long Island City and Brooklyn.
• Active DEA registration and individual NYS Medicaid provider status are required.
• Master of Science in Nursing or equivalent advanced practice degree.
• Proficiency in Spanish or other languages is preferred but not mandatory.
