Job Description

Imaging Services Manager Overview

  • The Imaging Services Manager oversees imaging operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Lead imaging departments, including Radiology, CT, Ultrasound, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Mammography, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop cost-effective systems supporting departmental functions and business trends.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors.
  • Drive continuous improvement using customer satisfaction data and employee involvement strategies.
  • Oversee a team of 154 FTEs, ensuring operational excellence across multiple imaging modalities.
  • Ensure compliance with state and national regulations, including ARRT-R and MRT certifications.
  • Provide strategic leadership in budgeting, capital planning, and resource allocation for imaging services.
  • Promote innovation and adoption of advanced imaging technologies to enhance patient outcomes.

Imaging Services Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures to meet organizational standards.
  • Monitor and analyze imaging volume metrics, including CT, MRI, Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine.
  • Lead budgeting, capital planning, and resource allocation for imaging services.
  • Supervise and mentor department supervisors, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Ensure compliance with state and national regulations, including certifications and licensing requirements.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize imaging services and patient care.
  • Drive innovation and adoption of advanced imaging technologies to enhance diagnostic capabilities.
  • Utilize customer satisfaction data to identify and address areas for improvement in imaging services.

Imaging Services Manager Job Requirements

  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of acute imaging leadership experience; 7 years preferred.
  • ARRT-R certification in Radiography and MRT certification in the State of Texas are mandatory.
  • Proven experience in budgeting, capital planning, and business strategy development.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing large teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of imaging technologies and modalities, including CT, MRI, Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and implement continuous improvement strategies.
