Assistant Project Manager Overview
- As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support project execution and management for diverse construction initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure project goals align with organizational objectives.
- Assist in managing a $25M multifamily project scheduled for Q1 of next year.
- Contribute to planning and preparation for $150M worth of upcoming projects in 2027.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the Vice President and other project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout project lifecycles.
- Participate in project meetings, offering insights and updates on progress and challenges.
Assistant Project Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for ongoing and upcoming construction projects.
- Monitor project performance, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to maintain effective communication and collaboration.
- Prepare and present reports on project progress, challenges, and solutions to senior management.
- Assist in risk assessment and mitigation strategies to address potential project issues.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant parties.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to verify project compliance and progress.
- Provide administrative support to the Vice President, including scheduling and correspondence.
Assistant Project Manager Job Requirements
- Associate of Science (AS) degree in a relevant field is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management or construction-related roles.
- Preferred 4 years of experience in similar positions or industries.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage complex projects effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of construction processes, standards, and regulations is advantageous.
- Ability to work on-site and adapt to dynamic project environments.
