Infrastructure Engineer Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Maintain and troubleshoot Linux servers and containers within AWS environments to ensure optimal performance.
• Support Kubernetes clusters and AWS services, enhancing system availability and security.
• Develop and implement automation scripts using Bash, Python, or PowerShell to streamline operations.
• Participate in incident response and improve monitoring tools to mitigate system issues effectively.
• Administer internal IT systems, including user accounts, device management, and SaaS tools.
• Assist in compliance and infosec activities, performing vulnerability assessments and evidence collection.
• Collaborate on infrastructure projects, contributing to the development of scalable and resilient systems.
• Document processes and incidents, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuous improvement.

Infrastructure Engineer Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
• 1-3 years of experience in systems engineering, IT operations, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Linux command-line operations and networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP and DNS.
• Exposure to container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services, is advantageous.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is a plus.
• Certifications like AWS Cloud Practitioner or Linux+ are highly desirable.
