Manager, Financial Planning Overview
- The Manager, Financial Planning oversees FP&A functions, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning initiatives.
- Collaborates cross-functionally to align financial goals with organizational objectives and ensure data integrity.
- Develops dynamic financial models to evaluate cost impacts and optimize processes.
- Supports variance analysis, comparing actuals versus forecasts and identifying key business drivers.
- Partners with accounting and other departments to ensure accurate reporting and alignment.
- Prepares materials for board presentations, leadership reviews, and strategic planning initiatives.
- Drives continuous improvement in FP&A processes, leveraging best practices and system utilization.
- Ensures compliance with FDA regulations and company policies, maintaining high standards of data privacy.
Manager, Financial Planning Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Owns portions of budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
- Develops relationships with stakeholders to align financial and corporate goals.
- Optimizes FP&A processes, driving improvements in data integrity and system utilization.
- Maintains and enhances financial models, including inventory and three-statement models.
- Collaborates with accounting and other departments on ad-hoc projects.
- Identifies initiatives to improve financial and operational processes as the business scales.
- Prepares variance analysis and reports for leadership and board reviews.
- Supports strategic planning initiatives and compliance reviews.
Manager, Financial Planning Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, with manufacturing industry experience as a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills; SAP experience advantageous.
- Strong analytical abilities, financial orientation, and excellent communication skills.
- Adherence to FDA regulations and company policies governing financial activities.
- Experience in developing and maintaining financial models and conducting variance analysis.
