Assistant Vice President, Banking FP&A Overview
- The Assistant Vice President, Banking FP&A will support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting for the Banking line of business.

- Analyze financial data and prepare reports for senior management, focusing on business revenues, cost drivers, and performance metrics.

Assistant Vice President, Banking FP&A Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare presentations and reports for senior management, including financial analytics, business revenues, and cost drivers.
- Maintain data reporting standards and integrity for Banking LOB as per head office requirements.
- Develop detailed budget versus actual variance reports to support decision-making and monitor performance.
- Enhance reporting and budgeting processes to streamline financial data production.
- Collaborate with Finance, back office, and front office teams to analyze trends in revenues, expenses, and KPIs.
- Maintain reporting hierarchies and mappings to ensure data integrity across systems.
- Monitor monthly allocation and inter-entity reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in planning and executing cross-functional projects, including revenue forecasting and expense initiatives.
Assistant Vice President, Banking FP&A Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business-related majors; CPA or CFA preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services, with 2 years in business planning and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP tools such as Hyperion, Anaplan, PeopleSoft, and OneStream.
- Strong understanding of banking products and their revenue/expense relationships.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication skills, and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with US GAAP and IFRS; knowledge of general ledger concepts preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities effectively while delivering timely information.
- Experience with organization hierarchy and income statement structures across business lines and entities.
