Billing Senior Specialist Overview
- The Billing Senior Specialist will oversee billing operations, ensuring compliance with client guidelines and partner instructions.
- Collaborate with attorneys, clients, and colleagues to address billing requests and special projects effectively.
- Prepare and finalize invoices promptly, maintaining accuracy and compliance with established guidelines.
- Monitor unbilled inventory and generate detailed billing reports and analysis for management review.
- Ensure successful transmission of invoices in collaboration with E-Billing Specialists.
- Assist with special projects and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client, matter, and timekeeper information.
Billing Senior Specialist Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare monthly and transactional bills, incorporating edits and obtaining necessary approvals.
- Review client guidelines and rate arrangements to ensure invoice compliance.
- Process transfers, write-offs, and adjustments accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with partners and support staff to resolve billing issues promptly.
- Generate and analyze billing reports, providing comprehensive updates to management.
- Work closely with E-Billing Specialists to ensure successful invoice transmission.
- Assist with special billing projects and adapt to evolving priorities.
Billing Senior Specialist Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or 7+ years of relevant billing experience at a large law firm.
- Minimum of 5 years of legal billing experience; proficiency in Aderant preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Adaptability to changing priorities and willingness to work overtime as needed.
- Effective communication skills with attorneys, administrative assistants, and clients.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
