- Support legal teams in collection efforts and negotiate repayment agreements with employers.
- Monitor accounts handled by legal counsel and provide status updates regularly.
- Work on-site during the contract period, with strict adherence to punctuality and professionalism.
Audit and Collections Analyst Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Create and mail audit announcement letters, updating databases and accounting records for tracking purposes.
- Gather necessary documents for auditors, monitor incomplete audits, and process completed audits in the database.
- Notify employers of audit results and delinquent contributions, and review auditor invoices for accuracy.
- Print and mail delinquency letters, assisting employers in resolving outstanding issues.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys for collection efforts and track pension overpayments.
- Review progress reports to identify delinquent contractors and address accounts accordingly.
- Act as a representative when negotiating payments and services with external parties.
- Make recommendations on employer overpayments and refer delinquencies to attorneys as per guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental objectives.
Audit and Collections Analyst Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience; 5 years preferred.
- Experience with Taft-Hartley Trust Funds or prior auditing experience preferred.
- Strong skills in collections, payroll auditing, and aging report analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills essential for effective collaboration.
- Ability to manage complex issues while maintaining a positive and cooperative demeanor.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting issues, gathering evidence, and resolving problems collaboratively.
- Background and drug screening clearance required prior to starting.
- Strict adherence to punctuality and professional dress code during interviews and testing.
