Job Description

Senior Project Manager Overview

  • The Senior Project Manager will oversee network upgrade projects in a GxP pharmaceutical environment, ensuring successful implementation and adoption.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and third-party providers to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
  • Lead organizational change management efforts to ensure seamless integration of new systems and processes.
  • Provide on-site project management support during critical implementation periods, including shutdowns and holiday schedules.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and documentation using industry-standard tools.
  • Ensure project governance and adherence to corporate project office processes and tools.
  • Drive decision-making across workstreams, including IT, Finance, Operations, and Quality.
  • Measure project performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Foster effective relationships between business units, IT, and vendors to achieve project goals.

Senior Project Manager Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead end-to-end project implementation, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
  • Facilitate project team meetings, risk assessments, and issue resolution sessions.
  • Develop and maintain project charters, schedules, budgets, and communication plans.
  • Coordinate "go-live" activities and provide hyper-care support post-implementation.
  • Manage project governance and cadence throughout the lifecycle to meet requirements.
  • Utilize corporate tools and processes for project tracking and reporting.

Senior Project Manager Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Project Management, Business, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of IT project management experience, preferably in pharmaceutical/biotech industries.
  • Proven expertise in network upgrade implementations within GxP environments.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Planview, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of Waterfall methodologies and software development lifecycle processes.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams in matrix organizations.
  • Understanding of GxP practices and compliance requirements in pharmaceutical settings.
  • Willingness to travel and provide on-site support during critical project phases.
