Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Coordinate and prepare Board reporting packages and investor presentations with precision and timeliness.
- Develop quarterly forecasts and perform strategic “what-if” analyses to support decision-making.
- Create and maintain detailed financial models, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow projections.
- Organize and oversee the preparation and distribution of external financial press releases.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial statement reports and analyses for management.
- Support Finance and Accounting initiatives for process improvements and systems upgrades.
- Administer the company’s dividend process, ensuring accurate and timely execution.
- Prepare schedules to assist the CFO in communication with analysts and investor relations activities.
- Conduct variance analyses, cost allocations, and provide other financial analyses as needed.
Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required; advanced degrees are preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, including 2 years in financial modeling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel financial modeling and experience with financial systems automation.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are essential.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with accuracy.
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial principles, with experience in real estate or mortgage banking preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to build partnerships across departments.
- Experience with SEC reporting requirements and investor relations activities is advantageous.
