Billing Specialist Overview

  • The Billing Specialist will manage high-volume client invoices and ensure compliance with billing guidelines.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely billing processes.
  • Utilize electronic billing platforms to submit and monitor invoices for diverse clients.
  • Support reconciliation and collections activities to maintain firm revenue cycles.

Billing Specialist Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Draft, review, and process high-volume invoices for hundreds of clients.
  • Submit invoices through electronic billing platforms and resolve rejections.
  • Maintain and manage e-billing profiles for firmwide operations.
  • Perform reconciliations and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Communicate with attorneys to address billing questions and ensure compliance.
  • Support payment tracking and check processing as needed.
  • Allocate time effectively between billing cycles and follow-up activities.
  • Collaborate with a billing team to streamline operations and meet deadlines.

Billing Specialist Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • 1+ years of billing or accounts receivable experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with e-billing platforms is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage high volumes and multiple deadlines.
