Director of Education Program Services Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Direct daily operations of educational programs, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
• Provide leadership and supervision to direct care, clinical, and program staff.
• Develop and oversee program budgets, departmental projections, and required reports.
• Approve classroom placements and curriculum design to meet student needs.
• Serve as a liaison with parents, school districts, and community organizations.
• Implement and monitor program goals, policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Oversee student placement decisions and transitions to appropriate educational settings.
• Conduct program assessments and observations to ensure effective environments.

Director of Education Program Services Job Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Special Education and NYS Certification as a Special Education Teacher.
• NYS School Building Leader or School Administrator and Supervisor Certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a School Administrator.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience supervising staff and overseeing educational programming.
• Knowledge of special education programming, compliance, curriculum, and student services.
• Ability to work effectively with students, families, staff, and community partners.
• Passion for supporting children with developmental disabilities and advancing organizational mission.
