Private Equity Finance Paralegal Overview

  • The Private Equity Finance Paralegal supports attorneys in complex private equity finance transactions, ensuring seamless coordination and execution.
  • Collaborate in a hybrid work environment, combining in-office and remote flexibility for optimal productivity.
  • Gain valuable legal-industry experience in a fast-paced and collaborative workplace setting.
  • Coordinate transaction logistics, including checklists, execution processes, and post-closing deliverables.
  • Maintain transaction documents, corporate records, and financing-related documentation to firm standards.
  • Provide guidance to junior paralegals, assisting with onboarding, training, and knowledge sharing.
  • Leverage advanced proficiency in firm technologies to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Work closely with attorneys, clients, and transaction participants to support financing transactions.

Private Equity Finance Paralegal Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Organize and maintain transaction documents, due diligence materials, and corporate records.
  • Coordinate UCC, lien, litigation, and corporate searches; review results for completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare, execute, and organize ancillary transaction documents and closing materials.
  • Track transaction timelines, closing conditions, and critical deliverables for timely execution.
  • Review transaction materials and filings for accuracy and compliance with firm standards.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, clients, and other participants to support financing transactions.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior paralegals, fostering knowledge sharing and training.
  • Protect and maintain sensitive, confidential, and proprietary information in all aspects of work.

Private Equity Finance Paralegal Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related field.
  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent declaration.
  • Minimum of four years of paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and document management systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple assignments effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing work product and ensuring compliance.
  • Ability to coordinate complex workflows and prioritize tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
