Assistant Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Prepare monthly financial reports covering actuals, revenues, expenses, and management reporting packages for Fixed Income and Equities businesses.
• Develop financial presentations for senior leadership, analyzing performance by trading desk and product.
• Support weekly and monthly forecasts and annual budgeting processes to ensure accurate financial planning.
• Analyze variances against budgets, forecasts, and prior-year results to identify trends and insights.
• Collaborate with business COOs and Product Control teams on expense management and financial performance.
• Handle allocations, reconciliations, and reporting across various entities within the organization.
• Enhance and automate financial reporting and planning processes using tools like OneStream.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems and methodologies.

Assistant Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree with 3–5 years of financial services experience, including FP&A or financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of Fixed Income and Equities businesses, including trading products and derivatives.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in OneStream, Hyperion, or similar tools.
• CPA or CFA certification preferred, with additional skills in Power BI, SQL, or Python advantageous.
• Knowledge of investment banking accounting practices and financial systems.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with flexibility and collaboration.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills to support senior leadership.
