Product Designer Overview

• The Product Designer will lead the design efforts for a cutting-edge AI-powered platform, focusing on creating intuitive and effective user experiences.
• Design and implement a robust design system, ensuring consistency and accessibility across all user interfaces and components.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative solutions for non-engineer users on a secure workspace platform.
• Focus on designing conversational AI experiences, governance views, and app-builder interfaces to enhance user engagement.
• Work independently to prioritize tasks, make impactful decisions, and deliver weekly increments of design improvements.
• Contribute to the development of accessible components aligned with WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
• Utilize HTML and CSS skills to refine and implement design components directly within the platform.
• Engage in lightweight testing and observation to gather insights and continuously improve the product design.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable design flows and prototypes.

Product Designer Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Develop and maintain the Haven design system, including tokens, components, and documentation for AI-generated interfaces.
• Create detailed component specifications for engineers and AI agents, ensuring clarity and precision in design implementation.
• Design end-to-end app-builder experiences for non-technical users to confidently create and publish applications.
• Design conversational AI interactions, ensuring consistent models and clear user guidance within the platform.
• Develop governance and admin views like audit logs and version history to enhance user trust and understanding.
• Implement and review design components in HTML and CSS, ensuring quality and alignment with design standards.
• Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to refine and improve design elements based on real-world usage.
• Design public-facing website pages and live-demo experiences to showcase the platform’s capabilities.
• Write clear and concise interface copy and documentation for non-technical audiences and stakeholders.

Product Designer Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in end-to-end product design for shipped software products.
• Proficiency in Figma or equivalent tools for creating components, prototypes, and design systems.
• Hands-on experience with HTML and CSS to adjust and implement design components.
• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and their application in design components.
• Strong interaction design and information architecture skills for complex interfaces like dashboards and admin tools.
• Experience designing AI-assisted or conversational interfaces and critiquing AI-generated UI for improvement.
• Self-directed and capable of managing scope and priorities independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred experience with multi-tenant SaaS products and familiarity with version-control concepts.
