Staff Accountant – SEC/External Reporting Overview

• The Staff Accountant – SEC/External Reporting will support the preparation of SEC filings and external financial disclosures, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Collaborate with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, and Investor Relations teams to ensure accurate reporting.
• Gain exposure to a complex, global reporting environment within a Fortune 500 company operating in over 70 countries.
• Contribute to the preparation of quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K filings, as well as other public disclosures.
• Engage in technical accounting research and analysis of accounting transactions to ensure compliance.
• Support XBRL preparation and validation processes to enhance reporting accuracy.
• Work closely with internal and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, enhance efficiencies, and strengthen financial controls.

Staff Accountant – SEC/External Reporting Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Assist in the preparation of quarterly 10-Q and annual 10-K filings, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations.
• Support 8-K filings, earnings releases, and investor presentations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Prepare financial statement disclosures, supporting schedules, and MD&A documentation for external reporting.
• Conduct technical accounting research and analyze accounting transactions to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Assist with XBRL preparation and validation processes to ensure accurate financial data presentation.
• Collaborate with senior reporting team members on quarterly and annual reporting requirements.
• Work with internal and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve reporting processes and enhance operational efficiencies.

Staff Accountant – SEC/External Reporting Job Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting or related field is required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting; 2 years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations is essential.
• Experience with XBRL preparation and validation is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and disclosure preparation is required.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex accounting issues.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external auditors.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
