Job Description

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Epic Clarity Data Analyst to be part of a cross-functional team composed of product owners, business analysts, and dashboard developers. The role will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing complex queries to feed into dashboards and reports that support data-driven decision making across the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of Epic’s Cogito offerings, specifically related to the Revenue Data model, and possess the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights.

Duties:

  1. Develop, maintain, and optimize data models within the enterprise data lake to support revenue cycle analytics.
  2. Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and dashboard developers to understand reporting requirements and ensure data models meet business needs.
  3. Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and insights that can drive revenue optimization and operational improvements.
  4. Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data used in reports and dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
  5. Perform ad hoc data analysis and reporting tasks to support business needs and strategic initiatives.
  6. Document data models, processes, and workflows to ensure clarity and scalability.
  7. Provide data-driven recommendations and insights to support decision making across the organization.
  8. Work collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure effective delivery of data solutions and services.
  9. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to Epic and its Cogito suite of tools.
  10. Ensure all data handling and reporting activities comply with relevant regulatory and organizational standards.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in data modeling or analytics within the healthcare industry.
  3. Current Epic Certification – Cogito, Caboodle, and/or Clarity.
  4. Proficiency in SQL and data modeling tools.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
  7. Current Epic Revenue Data Model certification.
  8. A strong understanding of Epic workflows pertaining to the entire Revenue Cycle lifecycle.
  9. Knowledge and application of project management disciplines in a complex environment.
  10. Experience observing stakeholders and workflows to learn about underlying problems and potential solutions.
  11. Experience with Agile Development methods and tools.
  12. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  15. Epic Revenue Data Model Certification
  16. Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) Certification
  17. HFMA Certified Specialist Business Intelligence (CSBI)
