    Seeking Director of Public Policy to lead development and implementation of public policy and legislative agenda for a nonprofit. Drive advocacy strategies, build partnerships, and oversee policy team at local, state, and national levels.

Job Description

Requirements:

·     Develop and implement policy and legislative agenda across all government levels

·     Build and maintain relationships with government officials and elected representatives

·     Represent organization in public policy forums and advocacy events

·     Lead digital advocacy campaigns and coordinate with marketing team

·     Oversee internal policy coordination and staff education on political landscape

·     Manage discretionary funding requests and compliance with lobbying requirements

·     Develop community engagement strategies and partnerships

·     Supervise and lead the Public Policy Team

·     Produce policy papers, testimony, and position statements

Qualifications:

·     Master's degree in Public Policy, Education, Public Health, or related field

·     Minimum 6 years experience in government or public policy

·     Proven management experience

·     Excellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking

·     Strong understanding of legislative and budget processes at all government levels

·     Strategic thinking and creative problem-solving abilities

·     In-depth knowledge of child welfare and education issues
