Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison for daily construction activities, maintaining effective communication with project stakeholders including owners, architects, and engineers.
  • Manage on-site construction staff and subcontractors to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Oversee the preparation of construction documents, submittals, and schedules.
  • Ensure strict adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality of the construction process.
  • Monitor compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate with government officials and inspectors to ensure all required codes and regulations are met.
  • Manage project logistics and site utilization, providing technical support and recommendations on construction methods.
  • Facilitate project meetings and provide detailed progress reports to senior management.
  • Implement quality control procedures and conduct safety meetings and inspections.
  • Assist in the hiring, training, and development of construction personnel.
  • Support pre-construction activities including project planning and estimating.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry, specifically with high-rise concrete mixed-use apartment projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams and complex projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction management software.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and building codes.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships.
  • Proactive in problem-solving and capable of making decisions under pressure.
  • Certifications in OSHA, First Aid/CPR, and SWPPP are advantageous.
