Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison for daily construction activities, maintaining effective communication with project stakeholders including owners, architects, and engineers.
- Manage on-site construction staff and subcontractors to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Oversee the preparation of construction documents, submittals, and schedules.
- Ensure strict adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality of the construction process.
- Monitor compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate with government officials and inspectors to ensure all required codes and regulations are met.
- Manage project logistics and site utilization, providing technical support and recommendations on construction methods.
- Facilitate project meetings and provide detailed progress reports to senior management.
- Implement quality control procedures and conduct safety meetings and inspections.
- Assist in the hiring, training, and development of construction personnel.
- Support pre-construction activities including project planning and estimating.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry, specifically with high-rise concrete mixed-use apartment projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large teams and complex projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction management software.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and building codes.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships.
- Proactive in problem-solving and capable of making decisions under pressure.
- Certifications in OSHA, First Aid/CPR, and SWPPP are advantageous.
