Job Description

Summary:

A reputable general contractor with multiple offices in Ohio is looking to hire a Senior Superintendent for a complex healthcare project kicking off in 2024. The individual in this role will be responsible for managing all project crews including subs, tradesmen and laborers.

Responsibilities/Job Duties: 

  • Direct and manage all personnel on assigned projects to ensure project completion, budget maintenance, and compliance with contracts 
  • Determine labor requirements and direct workers to construction sites 
  • Analyze and record cost data and monitor project budgets and progress 
  • Manage the scheduling of subcontractors 
  • Provide and execute inspections to maintain projects on schedule 
  • Order necessary materials in cooperation with Project Manager 
  • Maintain job sites to ensure safety and cleanliness 
  • Manage timecard submission and submit to Project Manager in a timely manner 
  • Assist estimators and Project Managers to develop prospective bidders and schedule pre-bid walks with subcontractors 
  • Maintain record documents such as testing, inspections, progress photographs, etc. 
  • Resolve construction matters as they occur, such as procedures, complaints, and challenges 
  • Provide leadership and clear expectations to workers 
  • Assist carpenters with work when necessary 

Qualifications: 

  • 10-15 years working in a general contracting capacity
  • Experience with large, complex commercial, healthcare and light industrial projects
  • Experience overseeing self-perform trades
  • Knowledge of job site safety policies and procedures 
  • Strong leadership and communication skills 
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks on multiple projects 
  • Strong computer skills with experience in design software, project management software, scheduling software, and Microsoft Office 
  • Ability to make quick, effective decisions and solve problems as they occur 
  • Willing to spend the majority of time on site, with occasional time in office
