Job Description
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Leading and communicating with the team in the planning and implementation of care and thorough documentation of the same in the EMR
- Medication administration through all routes, including G-tube and IVs, trach care, and suctioning
- Responding and reacting timely and according to the protocol to prevent re-hospitalizations and potential emergency situations
- Responding efficiently and calmly to initiate the rapid response or emergency response team, as appropriate
- Handling other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Nursing experience
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Proficiency in Wound Care, Ostomy Care, Foley Catheter Insertion, and Care
- Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
- Patient-oriented
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
