Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Level 1 Field Support Technician to join our growing team in Yonkers. As a frontline representative of our Managed Service Provider (MSP), you will provide on-site and remote technical support to clients across various industries. This is a travel-intensive role, requiring frequent visits to client sites throughout Yonkers and the greater Tri-State area (NY, NJ, CT). It’s ideal for someone who enjoys being on the move, solving problems, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site and remote support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other end-user hardware.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Level 1 technical issues related to Windows OS, Microsoft 365, basic networking, and common business applications.
  • Perform routine maintenance, updates, and system checks on client infrastructure.
  • Assist with hardware installations, moves, and upgrades.
  • Document all work performed in the ticketing system (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask).
  • Escalate complex issues to Level 2/3 support as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional communication and timely resolution.
  • Travel extensively to client locations across Yonkers, New York City, Long Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in a technical support or help desk role (MSP experience a plus).
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Familiarity with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and common business software.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel and working in diverse client environments.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with RMM tools (e.g., NinjaOne, Kaseya).
  • Exposure to Active Directory and remote desktop tools.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications.
