Emergency Room Nurse Manager

A reputable hospital in Tennessee is seeking an Emergency Room Nurse Manager to oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of a busy ER unit. This role is ideal for a dynamic nurse leader with a strong clinical background in emergency care and a passion for leading high-performing teams.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and manage a large emergency department with over 70 FTEs and approximately 45 direct reports
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with clinical and operational standards
• Recruit, train, and mentor nursing staff, fostering a positive and accountable team culture
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and departmental performance
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and workflow to maintain efficient operations
• Monitor quality metrics and support process improvements to achieve unit goals
• Respond to patient, visitor, and physician concerns in a professional and solution-oriented manner

Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
• BLS (or instructor) certification within 30 days of hire
• Minimum of 2 years’ ER experience and 1–3 years in a clinical leadership role
