Job Description

Title: IT Applications Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute long-term application strategies and roadmaps aligned with operational goals
  • Lead end-to-end lifecycle management for critical construction tech platforms (e.g., field tools, scheduling systems, document control software)
  • Ensure reliability, user adoption, and vendor accountability for core applications
  • Maintain and update business continuity frameworks for application resiliency
  • Align all systems and data protocols with security compliance standards, including CMMC and NIST guidelines
  • Lead a team of managers and analysts, fostering professional growth and technical development
  • Serve as a liaison between IT and business units, ensuring transparency and responsiveness
  • Manage onboarding of new applications, feature rollouts, license renewals, and usage audits
  • Drive performance monitoring and optimization through KPIs and support metrics
  • Regularly assess stakeholder needs and translate feedback into actionable platform improvements
  • Track and manage vendor partnerships, including contract terms, SLAs, and support quality
  • Promote knowledge-sharing resources and ensure audit readiness for application usage

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT operations, with a deep focus on enterprise applications
  • Prior leadership of application support teams, ideally in construction or engineering contexts
  • Familiarity with construction-focused platforms such as Procore, Kahua, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Textura, or Autodesk tools
  • Solid understanding of the full construction lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout
  • Demonstrated success in transforming legacy systems and support models into agile, scalable environments
  • Experience navigating audit, compliance, and application license tracking
  • Advanced knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and integration of compliance into IT environments
  • Strong interpersonal, strategic planning, and change management skills
