Human Resources & Administration Specialist
Status: Full-Time | Exempt | 40 hours per week
Reports To: Executive Leadership
About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources & Administration Specialist to support both HR and administrative functions across the organization. This role is responsible for overseeing key HR processes, managing IT coordination with external consultants, and ensuring that internal systems run smoothly. The ideal candidate will bring strong HR knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster a positive and compliant workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead new employee onboarding, including benefits enrollment and orientation programs.
- Maintain accurate HR records, employee files, and HRIS systems.
- Provide guidance to staff on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
- Ensure compliance with multi-state employment laws, regulations, and child care licensing requirements.
- Update and maintain the employee handbook, policies, and procedure manuals.
- Assist with payroll processing and coordinate with finance as needed.
- Manage IT resources, maintain equipment inventories, and liaise with IT consultants for troubleshooting.
- Conduct employee engagement initiatives, disciplinary meetings, and exit interviews.
- Administer HR training programs and track compliance.
- Monitor HR metrics and audit processes to identify areas of improvement.
- Handle document management using Google Drive and support general administrative needs.

- Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and HRIS platforms; ADP experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience; supervisory experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
