Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and accuracy.
- Manage and oversee foreclosure and bankruptcy matters in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
- Conduct civil litigation involving discovery, including e-discovery processes.
- Attend foreclosure auctions, court hearings, mediation sessions, and other legal proceedings.
- Argue motions, plan confirmations, and evidentiary hearings effectively.
- Perform legal research and analyze complex legal issues to support case strategies.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties with professionalism.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and implement negotiation strategies.
- Provide legal advice and guidance during client consultations and meetings.
Job Requirements
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school is required.
- Admission to MD and DC bars; VA bar admission or ability to waive in preferred.
- Minimum of four years of relevant experience in foreclosure, litigation, and bankruptcy.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills to support case development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software for efficient case handling.
