About the Opportunity:

A well-established and growing general contractor in the Greater Indianapolis area is seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial leader to join their team in a senior executive role. This position offers a clear path to company ownership as part of a long-term succession plan from the current President.

This is a rare opportunity for a seasoned professional who wants to take their leadership to the next level by becoming an owner of a respected, client-focused construction firm with a strong presence in the Commercial, Industrial, and Higher Education markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner directly with the current President to learn and transition into full executive leadership
  • Shape and execute company strategy, operations, and business development
  • Lead project teams, mentor staff, and cultivate long-term client relationships
  • Gradually assume full P&L ownership and ultimately take over as company President and Owner

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 15+ years of experience in commercial construction, ideally within the Commercial, Industrial, or Higher Ed sectors
  • Strong design-build expertise with the ability to guide teams from preconstruction through completion
  • Proven success in business development, operations, and executive leadership
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a long-term vision for ownership
  • Passionate about team development, culture, and client service
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Greater Indianapolis area

Compensation:

  • Competitive base salary
