A thriving regional hospital system with a long-standing history of excellence is seeking a Hospital Facilities Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, infrastructure, compliance, and safety across a high-acuity acute care hospital campus. This flagship campus is home to 500+ beds and offers a wide range of advanced medical services, including heart and vascular care, orthopedics and spine, oncology, behavioral health, and emergency services.
🏗️ About the Role
As the Hospital Facilities Manager, you'll report to the Director of Facilities and play a critical role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and regulatory readiness of the hospital’s physical environment. You’ll lead a skilled team of technicians, manage vendors and contractors, and support both daily operations and major infrastructure projects 👷‍♀️⚙️.
This position supports the stability and mission of a multi-site, solvent hospital system known for excellence in care, operations, and community leadership.
🌐 Key Responsibilities
Facilities Maintenance & Operations
Oversee maintenance of core hospital infrastructure: HVAC, plumbing, medical gas, electrical, and utilities
Lead scheduling, work assignments, and preventative maintenance using an enterprise CMMS
Supervise and mentor technicians and vendors to ensure safe, effective operations
Promote energy-efficient practices and sustainability 🌱
Uphold internal standards and OSHA/compliance protocols
Regulatory Compliance & Safety
Support facility readiness for regulatory inspections (Joint Commission, CMS, Fire Marshal, AHJs)
Manage documentation related to Life Safety, Environment of Care, and Emergency Management
Assist in emergency drills, risk mitigation plans, and facilities-related emergency response
Construction & Capital Projects
Collaborate on renovations and expansion projects
Review drawings, manage construction timelines, and coordinate with internal teams and external contractors
Ensure new infrastructure complies with healthcare MEP and regulatory standards
🎓 Preferred Background
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field preferred
5+ years in hospital facility operations or healthcare plant management 🏨
Experience with critical building systems and acute care infrastructure
Familiarity with healthcare-specific compliance standards (TJC, NFPA, OSHA, etc.)
CHFM, CHC, or other professional certifications are a plus âś…
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills essential 🤝
💼 Compensation & Benefits
💰 Hourly Pay Range: ~$33 – $49/hr (based on experience)
