Job Description

The Company:

Our client, a growing employee-owned (ESOP) general contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to help lead their expanding portfolio of work. Position Summary:

In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing small to mid-sized commercial construction projects from kickoff through completion. You’ll play a hands-on role in all phases of the project lifecycle, with a focus on budget, schedule, quality, and communication. The position provides opportunities to mentor others, grow your leadership capabilities, and travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide project teams through all stages of construction, from planning through closeout
  • Lead preconstruction efforts including bid coordination and proposal development
  • Monitor budget, timeline, and deliverables to ensure project targets are met
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams and subcontractors to drive execution
  • Foster strong working relationships with clients and trade partners
  • Provide regular project updates, reporting, and progress tracking
  • Uphold safety protocols and compliance throughout project duration

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience working with a commercial general contractor
  • Degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field preferred
  • Solid understanding of construction contracts, processes, and scheduling methods
  • Proficient with project management tools and Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
