Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries, perform reconciliations, and support accurate month-end financial close processes
- Produce and validate internal and external financial reports ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Analyze large data sets, troubleshoot discrepancies, and synthesize findings into actionable insights
- Manage accruals for multiple business units, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Support both internal controls assessments and external audit processes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance and operational teams to ensure proper accounting treatment for complex or non-standard transactions
- Assist with regulatory and compliance reporting, including federal and state surveys
- Participate in process improvements, financial systems enhancements, and special projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA strongly preferred
- 4+ years of accounting experience in either corporate or public accounting
- Solid understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Strong Excel skills for data analysis; ability to handle and interpret large volumes of financial data
- Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP system preferred
- Highly organized, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proactive problem-solver and collaborative team player
