Non-Negotiable Requirements
• ICU Experience: Must have intensive care unit experience from an acute care hospital setting
• Leadership Experience: 5 years as an Assistant Nurse Manager or Nurse Manager
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Licensure: Current California Registered Nurse License
• Certification: Basic Life Support certification required at hire
Preferred Qualifications
• Specialized ICU Experience: Neuro ICU background highly preferred
• Union Experience: Familiarity with unionized healthcare environments
Key Responsibilities
• Lead nursing operations in a 24/7 ICU environment
• Manage and develop nursing staff to deliver exceptional patient care
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards including Joint Commission requirements
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
• Oversee budget management and resource allocation
• Implement best practice models and evidence-based care standards
