Position: Director of Plant Operations
Key Responsibilities
Departmental Leadership: Direct supervision of Plant Operations and Grounds departments, with oversight of Biomedical Engineering, Security Services, Environmental Services, and Laundry Operations. Collaborate with Nursing Administration, Clinical Engineering, Quality Management, IT, HR, and Finance departments.
Facility Operations: Manage maintenance services, service contracts, and vendor relationships across all hospital departments. Ensure compliance with healthcare facility regulations and safety standards while supporting clinical services, surgical services, and emergency operations.
Strategic Planning: Develop annual budgets and long-range planning for equipment, services, and construction projects. Coordinate with Administration and Finance on capital improvements and procurement needs.
Regulatory Compliance: Maintain OSHPD, State Fire Marshal, and Joint Commission standards. Develop performance improvement programs and coordinate Environment of Care committee initiatives.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree
• 5-7 years direct supervisory experience in healthcare Environmental Services, Maintenance, and/or Biomedical Engineering
• 2+ years multi-department healthcare management experience
• Healthcare safety and hazmat certification preferred
