If you are an experienced Perioperative Nurse Director looking to join a stellar health system in a popular area, then this is the ideal opportunity for you. A thriving hospital dynamic Kansas is actively looking for a Perioperative Nurse Director to join their leadership team.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Perioperative Nurse Director will be the primary Surgical Services Leader for this active service line. Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Oversee daily operations over 18 ORs performing multiple specialties – from ortho trauma to kidney/pancreas transplants to neurosurgery cases – with up to 600 procedures monthly
  • Manage, and mentor a dedicated team with 3 Direct Reports and 90+ Charge Nurses, Registered Nurses, and Patient Care Technicians
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and survey readiness
  • Monitor and maintain inventory within departmental budget guidelines
  • Be an influential change agent implementing evidence-based process improvement and workflow initiatives
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and hospital departments to support patient care

 

Candidate Qualifications

The ideal Perioperative Nurse Director will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Nursing preferred
  • At least 3 years of acute care Operating Room management experience
