This growing health system has 400+ locations across the Midwest including over 15 acute care facilities. This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled Women and Children’s Nurse Director to grow their career with a top-notch network.

Job Responsibilities

This robust service line performs 5,000 births annually and features Level III NICU services. The Women and Children’s Nurse Director will lead 10 Direct Reports and manage 300+ FTEs.

Key responsibilities include:

·        Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all perinatal units, including Labor & Delivery, Mother-Baby, and NICU

·        Collaborate with medical staff and department leaders to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care

·        Develop and implement clinical policies, quality improvement initiatives, and evidence-based best practices

·        Foster a culture of safety, staff engagement, and professional development

·        Ensure regulatory compliance and readiness (Joint Commission, state/federal standards, etc.)

·        Manage departmental budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocation

·        Monitor clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction metrics, driving performance improvement

·        Mentor nurse leaders and promote a supportive, accountable work environment

Candidate Qualifications

The ideal Women and Children’s Nurse Director has:

·        Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

·        At least 3 years of Maternal Child Health management experience
