- Analyze your regional market and work closely with leadership to identify and prioritize key accounts, projects, and decision-makers across the Bay Area.
- Specification Development:
- Create and implement an annual business strategy designed to increase product inclusion in design specs, engineering guidelines, and project scopes.
- Client Engagement & Influence:
- Build deep relationships with engineering firms, owners, and general contractors. Work to establish your company as the go-to solution in project documentation and technical recommendations.
- Project Lifecycle Collaboration:
- Use CRM systems (like Salesforce) to track project intelligence and collaborate with internal sales partners, ensuring smooth transitions throughout the sales and fulfillment process.
- Technical Mastery:
- Gain a strong understanding of product functionality, system applications, market positioning, and industry language — including technical and materials knowledge.
- Industry Networking:
- Engage with trade groups and professional associations in the Bay Area to enhance market presence and uncover emerging opportunities.
- Market Intelligence Gathering:
- Stay ahead of market trends and competitive dynamics. Leverage your network and consultative skills to identify future projects and drive early-stage engagement.
- Cross-Team Alignment:
- Partner with internal teams to support seamless project execution, from early engagement to project delivery.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (engineering, construction management, or similar fields strongly valued).
- Previous experience in B2B sales, technical sales, or business development — ideally related to the construction or engineering industries.
- Proven ability to drive complex sales processes and influence early project decisions.
- Experience writing or working with technical design documentation or project specifications is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a self-starter mindset — comfortable working independently in the field and coordinating across teams.
- Creative problem solver with strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Willingness to travel across the San Francisco region, including occasional overnight trips.
