Job Description

Overview

  • Lead business development and marketing efforts to drive revenue growth and support strategic business plans.
  • Develop and manage long-term client account strategies to enhance market presence and relationships.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create and execute impactful business development strategies.
  • Engage with key stakeholders, clients, and partners to foster strong professional relationships.
  • Lead responses to RFQs/RFPs, proposal efforts, and interviews to secure new business opportunities.
  • Participate in community and industry leadership roles to represent the organization effectively.
  • Analyze market trends, competitors, and economic forecasts to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop financial budgets and sales goals aligned with organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Research market opportunities, potential clients, and industry trends to identify business growth opportunities.
  • Facilitate sales meetings, updates, and the Go/No-Go process to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Engage with C-level executives and project teams to develop strong client relationships.
  • Lead proposal development and strategy meetings, ensuring alignment with client needs and organizational goals.
  • Participate in governmental affairs and community events to enhance organizational visibility.
  • Track public budgets and incentives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Analyze wins and losses to identify trends and improve future strategies.
  • Develop and present strategies for project development to leadership teams.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business/project development; A/E/C industry experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in strategic planning and business development.
  • Strong skills in lead management, proposal development, and client engagement.
  • Competency in analyzing market trends and developing growth strategies.
  • Experience in community and industry engagement to enhance organizational presence.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
