Overview

  • Join a dynamic team as a Porter in a professional NYC office environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and functionality of the facility while ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Perform duties in a full-time, Monday-Friday schedule during standard business hours.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Greet and assist guests, residents, or visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness of lobbies, hallways, restrooms, elevators, and other common areas.
  • Remove trash, recycling, and debris regularly to ensure a tidy environment.
  • Assist with deliveries, moving packages, and transporting items as needed.
  • Support maintenance staff with minor repairs and upkeep tasks.
  • Ensure safety by promptly reporting hazards, damages, or security concerns.
  • Respond to service requests and assist in setting up rooms, furniture, or equipment.
  • Uphold all facility standards and comply with health and safety regulations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitality, custodial, or building services preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills to interact effectively.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in varying indoor and outdoor conditions.
