Job Description

Overview

  • Lead accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic financial decision-making processes.
  • Oversee process improvements and automation initiatives within the accounting department.
  • Provide expertise in ERP systems and financial software tools for streamlined operations.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal controls across all accounting activities.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support the finance team in achieving organizational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data for accuracy and compliance.
  • Implement and maintain ERP systems to optimize financial processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Lead initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.
  • Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience; 8 years preferred.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, financial software, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and internal controls.
  • Experience with tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with SAP and other financial automation tools.
