Overview
- Lead operating room nursing operations, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with healthcare standards.
- Manage clinical, staffing, quality, and financial aspects of the operating room department.
- Promote patient safety, satisfaction, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement strategic plans and operational goals for the department.
- Foster collaboration between the operating room and other hospital departments.
- Provide leadership in hiring, training, and performance evaluation of staff.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and HIPAA regulations.
- Monitor financial performance and implement cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Oversee patient care delivery, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and protocols.
- Coordinate staffing levels and manage patient throughput efficiently.
- Develop and execute operational policies and procedures for the operating room.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, optimizing resource utilization.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in an acute care hospital.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California.
- AHA Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications.
- Strong time management and task prioritization skills.
- Knowledge of patient classification and staffing requirements.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Nursing, Business, or related field.
- Preferred: Nurse Manager Leader or Nurse Executive Certification (CNML or NE-BC).
