Fund Accounting Supervisor

Overview

• Lead fund accounting operations for a prominent private investment firm.
• Support financial reporting and compliance for complex fund structures.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to enhance operational practices.
• Manage reporting calendars and ensure timely deliverables.
• Present financial analyses during quarterly board meetings.
• Oversee preparation of financial statements and investor communications.
• Coordinate with private credit teams for investment accounting.
• Support fair value investment valuation processes.
• Serve as primary liaison for auditors and tax accountants.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Design and implement operational and financial best practices.
• Coordinate reporting schedules for fund entities.
• Participate in board meetings and present financial data.
• Oversee preparation of financial statements and performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP for investment accounting.
• Review monthly financial records and internal reporting.
• Assist with investment valuation and liaise with valuation specialists.
• Coordinate liquidity management and forecasting with Treasury.
• Prepare and review deliverables for investors and regulatory bodies.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in fund accounting or financial management.
• Preferred 10 years of experience in private investment fund operations.
• Proficiency in US GAAP and investment accounting principles.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with financial reporting.
• Ability to manage complex fund structures across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience coordinating with auditors and tax accountants.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with investment valuation processes and regulatory compliance.
