Overview

  • Lead and manage accounting advisory services for hedge accounting strategies within a professional services firm.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to deliver exceptional client service and innovative solutions.
  • Develop expertise in hedge accounting, financial risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Engage directly with clients, auditors, and regulators to address complex accounting challenges.
  • Contribute to research and development in evolving areas of accounting standards.

  • Support clients in achieving optimal capital market outcomes through tailored accounting strategies.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Advise clients on structuring, implementing, and accounting for hedging strategies.
  • Prepare technical accounting memos, policy papers, and financial statement analyses.
  • Manage client portfolios, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Conduct hedge effectiveness tests and sensitivity analyses for financial reporting.
  • Lead projects to design hedge accounting programs meeting client objectives.
  • Collaborate on internal initiatives to enhance process efficiency and technology design.
  • Provide technical accounting education to stakeholders and team members.
  • Support onboarding of client portfolios into technology platforms.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting or financial advisory roles.
  • Preferred 6 years of experience with expertise in hedge accounting strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • Proficiency in financial risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional communication and advisory skills for client interactions.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and deliver high-quality results.
  • Experience with financial analysis tools and accounting software.
