Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise and mentor hospice nursing staff, ensuring adherence to care standards and protocols.
- Conduct field visits for case management and provide direct patient care as needed.
- Assist in staff orientation and training, fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Collaborate with the hospice nurse manager to manage team operations effectively.
- Develop and implement strategies for staff professional growth and development.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and organizational policies in all care activities.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years of nursing experience; four years preferred.
- New York State RN licensure required; CHPN certification preferred.
- Proven ability to supervise and mentor nursing staff effectively.
- Experience in hospice care or related field highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Windows applications.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Commitment to obtaining CHPN certification within one year of hire if not already certified.
