Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Provide care for patients with acute and chronic illnesses, ensuring comprehensive treatment and management.
- Lead care teams, including medical assistants and coordinators, to deliver patient-centered care.
- Engage with transitional care teams for patients unable to visit the office, ensuring continuity of care.
- Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Practitioners, maintaining accountability for their actions.
- Participate in clinical meetings, quality management programs, and risk assessments to improve healthcare delivery.
- Promote patient health through education, health promotion, and care coordination.
- Recruit patients and providers to support the growth and success of the medical center.
- Ensure compliance with medical guidelines, policies, and procedures while maintaining high-quality patient care.
Job Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics.
- Active State Medical License or ability to obtain one within the required timeframe.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics, with maintenance of certification.
- Current DEA number for Schedule II-V controlled substances.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other healthcare-related software tools.
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and mission-driven healthcare delivery.
- Ability to travel locally and nationally for training and recruitment purposes as needed.
