Job Description

Overview

  • Support attorneys in the Labor and Employment department of a leading law firm.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team across multiple office locations.
  • Handle administrative tasks including email management and document organization.
  • Prepare pre-bills, manage expert time, and expense tracking.
  • Generate Tables of Contents (TOCs) and Tables of Authorities (TOAs).
  • Utilize advanced software tools for billing, document management, and expense tracking.
  • Engage in a hybrid work environment with flexible arrangements.
  • Participate in a structured interview process with HR and hiring managers.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Provide administrative support to one or more busy partners.
  • Manage attorneys' emails and organize legal documents effectively.
  • Prepare pre-bills and track expert time for billing purposes.
  • Handle expense tracking using Chrome River software.
  • Generate accurate TOCs and TOAs for legal documentation.
  • Utilize Aderant or Elite software for time and billing tasks.
  • Collaborate with secretaries and attorneys to ensure smooth operations.
  • Adhere to firm policies and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree preferred but not mandatory.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a legal administrative assistant in a law firm.
  • Experience in Labor and Employment or Litigation practice areas preferred.
  • Proficiency in Aderant, Chrome River, NetDocuments, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organizational and document management skills.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with flexibility.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
