Job Description

Overview

  • The Senior Associate in Data Operations ensures the accuracy and integrity of master data across platforms within an asset management environment.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Technology, and Investment teams to support seamless data flows and decision-making processes.
  • Maintain high-quality entity and asset data, including security master and issuer master records.
  • Support data onboarding, integration, and reporting processes to enhance portfolio transparency.
  • Develop expertise in data governance and process optimization within a dynamic environment.
  • Analyze large datasets and deliver insights to internal teams for improved decision-making.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of tools for data classification and deduplication.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Maintain and validate security master, issuer master, and reference data for investments and investors.
  • Define and apply configuration rules for new funds, hierarchies, and portfolio records.
  • Investigate and resolve complex data issues under tight deadlines.
  • Conduct data checks and implement corrections across workflows to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
  • Participate in onboarding activities, identifying and setting up new entities across systems.
  • Support system integrations and migrations to ensure smooth data transitions.
  • Analyze large datasets and provide ad hoc reporting as required.
  • Develop tools for identifying, classifying, and deduplicating master data elements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Organizational Sciences, or related field.
  • 3–6+ years of relevant experience in financial services, asset management, or data management.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including VLOOKUPs, macros, and pivot tables.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and willingness to expand technical skillset.
  • Familiarity with private loans, CLOs, private equity, and fixed income instruments preferred.
  • Exposure to security data models within platforms such as Aladdin, Geneva, or Sentry is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to translate business requirements into data solutions.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Self-driven, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
