Job Description

Overview

  • Lead safety management for large-scale construction projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a culture of safety excellence.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement effective safety protocols and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide expert guidance on safety measures for diverse construction environments, including high-profile projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety practices, leveraging industry standards and innovative approaches.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements, maintaining compliance across all operations.
  • Monitor and evaluate safety performance, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety plans tailored to project-specific requirements and risks.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports and actionable recommendations to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to address safety concerns and integrate solutions seamlessly.
  • Deliver engaging and informative safety training sessions to enhance workforce knowledge and preparedness.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of safety protocols, incidents, and compliance records.
  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal safety regulations, staying updated on changes and trends.
  • Promote proactive safety measures, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and risk awareness.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of full-time safety management experience in construction environments.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification is preferred.
  • Completion of OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety course is mandatory.
  • Proven expertise in managing safety for large-scale and complex construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to drive safety initiatives effectively.
