Overview

  • Develop and deliver educational programs for clinical staff, enhancing professional development and competency.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify learning needs and design tailored training solutions.
  • Utilize adult learning principles to create effective education modalities and materials.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to ensure quality healthcare delivery.
  • Stay updated with advancements in nursing practices and integrate evidence-based guidelines into training.
  • Support clinical development by aligning education programs with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards in all educational initiatives.
  • Serve as a resource and mentor for nursing staff, fostering continuous learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Conduct needs assessments to identify gaps in knowledge, skills, and practices among clinical staff.
  • Design and implement comprehensive training programs, including curricula and supporting materials.
  • Facilitate orientation and competency validation for nursing staff to ensure readiness.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content meets clinical requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with policies, protocols, and evidence-based practices during training.
  • Evaluate training outcomes using metrics and feedback to improve program effectiveness.
  • Participate in research and integrate advancements in healthcare technology into training.
  • Provide consultative services to stakeholders on professional nursing education program design.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum two years of experience in clinical teaching, curriculum design, or professional development.
  • Registered Nurse License (California) and Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Nursing Professional Development Certification within six months of hire.
  • Proficiency in adult learning theory, competency assessment, and curriculum development.
  • Strong skills in project management, quality improvement, and strategic alignment.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based nursing practices and healthcare technology advancements.
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, and consulting abilities.
